This article might have a title that may sound a bit strange. Located and faced for prosperity? You may wonder what I meant by that.
Disclaimer: this is not one of those typical business articles. It isn’t related to sales, marketing, productivity.
This article focuses on Feng Shui, a branch of Chinese Metaphysics. The term Feng Shui literally translates as “wind-water” in English. It is an age-old metaphysical science that tackles about our surroundings and their great influence on the pursuit of our endeavors. In parts of the world where there is a significant Chinese minority, like business tycoons in Taiwan, Hong Kong – they pay professional Feng Shui practitioners a good large amount of money just to help them get it right.
Feng Shui is a complex subject with many systems and practices. Having said some of the benefits you can gain from Feng Shui, in this article, I will teach you how you can apply Feng Shui on your endeavors. A formula called the “Eight Houses” is what we’ll start with. It is very basic yet effective. This system gives everyone a Kua number which comes from our birth date and sex.
We are further classified into one of two groups, depending on our Kua number, namely the East or West group. If your Kua number is 2,6,7 or 8 then you belong to the West group, and if your Kua number is 1,3,4 or 9 then you are a member of the East Group. The favorable directions and sectors for the West group are North West, South West, West and North East. As for the East group, their directions and sectors are North, South, East and South East.
So, what do you do with this information?
Say you are a person from the East group, your favorable directions and sectors are your basis for where you should try to occupy a space in an office room or a room at your home. For a person in the East group, these are the SE, N, S, and the E sectors. When you find out what your favorable sectors are, you may then start orientating your desk to face one of these favorable directions. You should at least ensure that your desk is facing a favorable direction if you are unable to find a room in your favorable sector.
You might ask what do you gain from facing your favorable directions? According to the ancient classic, you should expect to encounter better health and relationships, and more money making opportunities. But what if you encounter nothing? Why? According to Chinese philosophy, a combination of your luck cycle, destiny, Feng Shui, and the human factor greatly influences your luck. Nothing will happen if you are going through a favorable luck period, but expect to face poor health, monetary losses, accidents, bad relationships, and even break-ups, when you are going through a bad period.
What about sleeping? Should you sleep and face one of your favorable sectors and directions? The answer is yes but the facing is based on the crown of the head. Sleeping? What about it? Should you face one of your sectors when you are sleeping? Well, yes. The crown of the head should be the basis of the facing. You should then sleep in a North-South axis with the crown of the head pointing North and the feet pointing South, when you want to face north.
Is that all there is to Feng Shui? Of course not but if you do what I have prescribed above, you have taken the first step to using Feng Shui (or the energy of the environment) to support you endeavors. Is that all there is to Feng Shui? Of course not. This article only covers the first step to using Feng Shui (or the energy of the environment) to support your future endeavors.
